NASA cooperative research grants

Alaska NASA EPSCoR is beginning its Cooperative Agreement Notice grant pre-proposal cycle. Notices of intent for pre-proposals are due July 17, 2023 to uaf-spacegrant@alaska.edu.

NASA CAN research grants allow institutions to cooperate with NASA’s mission directorates and NASA centers and contribute to the development of research infrastructure in our state as a NASA EPSCoR jurisdiction.  Alaska NASA EPSCoR supports proposals that develop partnerships with NASA and cultivate capabilities to seek external sources of funding.

Proposals can be submitted for a maximum award of $750,000 for three years of performance. There is a 2-to-1 NASA requested funds to match funds requirement.

Timeline:

• July 17 – Notices of intent due to Alaska NASA EPSCoR office
• Aug. 14 – Pre-proposal submitted to Alaska NASA EPSCoR office
• Sept. 1 – Pre-proposals reviewed and selected to move forward
• *Nov. 15 – Proposal to NASA EPSCoR (*tentative)
