Naylor appointed as Chukchi Campus interim director

Minnie Naylor

Minnie Naylor has been appointed to serve as the interim director of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Chukchi Campus in Kotzebue. Naylor’s first day was Aug, 1, 2022.

Naylor is originally from Kotzebue and has family from Noatak and Shishmaref. She holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in rural development from UAF. Naylor is joining Chukchi Campus from UAF’s Rural Student Services, where she previously served as an academic advisor.

As interim director, Naylor will lead the Chukchi team in its mission: “To be a responsive and collaborative rural college that inspires and develops each student to contribute to the cultural and civic needs of their community.”

Chukchi Campus, part of UAF’s College of Rural and Community Development, is a two-year public institution. The campus serves the 11 communities within the Bering Strait region, an area of more than 36,000 square miles. Visit the Chukchi Campus website to learn more.
