NOAA Corps recruiter to present to students

The Alaska NSF EPSCoR program will host an online presentation by Lt. Dustin Picard, a recruiting officer for the NOAA Corps (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps). Picard will talk about careers with the Corps, which is the uniformed component of NOAA; NOAA Corps officers operate ships, fly aircraft, lead mobile field parties, conduct diving operations, manage research projects, and serve in staff positions throughout NOAA.

The presentation will take place via Zoom Monday, March 28, from noon to 12:45 pm and requires preregistration. The event is part of EPSCoR’s Student Ambassador Workshop Series, which is aimed at helping UA graduate students learn about career opportunities.
