November Rural Staff Spotlight: Rachel Heckler
Rachel Heckler serves as the financial aid advisor for the Community and Technical College at UAF. Rachel is a wealth of knowledge to the students she serves and the co-workers around her. Her boundless supply of kindness and patience has helped this campus in so many ways because we all feel so comfortable working with her, trusting that she will follow through to help out and finish the job or question at hand.
You never have to follow up with Rachel after asking her a question; she always responds with the answer or resources of where to go to find the answer. She never ends a conversation with "I don't know." She is always willing to help find the answer or help find someone who can find the answer. Since day one, Rachel has taken the initiative to learn all that she can and never pushes work onto someone else because it's not within her job duties. She is a team player through and through. CTC is lucky and incredibly grateful to have her on our team. Congratulations to Rachel Heckler, the November Rural Staff Spotlight!
