One Health seminar on anthrax in Africa

The next One Health Seminar, on Monday, Oct. 25, from 4-5 p.m., will feature Joseph Dudley of the Institute of Arctic Biology. He will speak on "One Health Perspective on Anthrax in Africa: Pattern and Process.” The event is hosted by the BLaST program, the Department of Veterinary Medicine and the UAF Center for One Health Research.
Dudley is a wildlife ecologist with 20 years in the zoonotic disease ecology and epidemiology sectors, applying One Health principles to address global health security issues and build capacity for emerging diseases surveillance and response programs worldwide. His scientific research and field activities have spanned five continents, from arctic Alaska to the Amazon basin, western and southern Africa, south and southeast Asia, and Oceania.
