Panelists to discuss professions in outdoor recreation

The final event in the Fall Speaker Series, “Balancing profession and passion in outdoor recreation,” will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, via Zoom.
The Fall Speaker Series is hosted by University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Business and Security Management’s sport and recreation business program.
Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss what it’s like to work and recreate in the outdoor spaces of Alaska.
Featured guests will include the following speakers:
- Sarah Histand — mental health-informed adventure fitness trainer and owner of Mind and Mountain
- Klara Maisch — artist, instructor and guide
- Joanna Young — glaciologist and director of Inspiring Girls Alaska
