TikTok, YouTube and Instagram are an everyday part of our lives now, but where did all this nonsense start? If you ask Joe and Nick, the hosts of VCR Party, they’ll tell you it began in the 80s and 90s with VHS, those big clunky tapes that your parents have in storage.

Joe and Nick have been called cultural archaeologists, rescuing these analog relics from thrift stores and garage sales across the country and curating them into a hilariously dense 60-minute guided tour of their favorites. Nothing in their collection is taken from the internet – every video in their performance was found physically and comes from their massive collection in Brooklyn, New York. And they don’t show movies! It’s weirder stuff like exercise videos, workplace safety videos, long lost public access shows and stuff that defies description (ask us about Rent-a-Friend).

Joe and Nick have performed VCR Party to hundreds of colleges across the country and can customize their show to a particular theme or audience. They’ve been featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, America’s Got Talent, Tosh.0 and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
