Rarefied Light 2021 on view at UAF

The juried photography exhibit Rarefied Light 2021 is on display in the UAF Art Gallery through Dec. 10.

Rarefied Light 2021, a traveling, statewide annual juried exhibition featuring Alaska-based photographic artists is on display this month in the UAF Art Gallery located in the Fine Arts Complex. Rarefied Light is Alaska's largest juried photograpy exhibition. 

A student art show will also be held Friday, Dec. 10, from 5-7 p.m.

This year's Rarefied Light features work from Jason Lazarus, UAF photography instructor; Richard Murphy, former Snedden Chair for the Department of Communication and Journalism; and LJ Evans, Tobey-Jean Priest and Andy Padilla, all current or former photography students at UAF.

The juror for Rarefied Light 2021 was Eddie Soloway, a photographer and artist from Santa Fe, New Mexico. 

Rarefied Light 2021 will be on view in the UAF Art Gallery weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 22. For more information, email uaf-art@alaska.edu.
