Registration extended for the 2023 Toolik Field Station All Scientists Meeting
Toolik Field Station welcomes all to join them for two days of science and conversation at their biennial All Scientists Meeting this January in Santa Barbara, California. The All Scientists Meeting is intended to spark conversation, inspire new ideas, and garner feedback amongst the Toolik community. Registration has now been extended thru Jan. 4, 2023.
The meeting will occur on Jan. 19-20, 2023 at Santa Barbara City College, with an optional pre-conference workshop on best practices in data management, hosted by the Arctic Data Center on Jan. 18. Toolik will also offer a virtual option for those unable to attend in person.
Science and poster presentations will occur on day one of the meeting, and breakout discussion groups about Toolik's 2023 Strategic Plan and current operations on day two. New this year, the meeting also includes a silent auction to raise funds for Toolik's TUNDRA Award, which supports early career researchers with up to 10 days to conduct independent projects at the field station.
Participation from early career researchers and educators is highly encouraged as are the contributions of senior career Toolik veterans. A current project at the station is not required, only interest in research and education in Arctic Alaska and thoughts about how Toolik Field Station can best support these important endeavors going forward.
Visit their website for information or to register for the meeting.
Limited travel support is available for graduate students, post-docs, and early career researchers. Please indicate in the registration form if you are requesting travel support.
