Registration open for Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning hybrid symposium and workshop
Researchers, clinicians, and community members are invited to a one-day hybrid symposium on Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) prospects for Alaska Native health. This collaboration between the Center for Alaska Native Health Research (CANHR) and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is a follow-up event to eight virtual presentations held during the summer. The goals of the symposium are:
- To provide additional AI/ML information, with a focus on applications for behavioral health, chronic diseases, and healthcare provider integration, and
- To facilitate communication and foster collaboration between AI/ML experts, community members/leaders, and clinicians or researchers.

8:30 a.m. - noon AI/ML Information sessions and panel discussion (Open to everyone)
Noon - 2 p.m. Networking lunch (Lunch provided)
2 - 4:30 p.m. Project workshops (Invitation only; limited to participants who submit a research question/healthcare solution)
Research Question – Required for Afternoon Session only
You are invited to submit up to 250 words on a research question, or healthcare solution
that you think could be addressed by Machine Learning. Please describe the problem.
Our goal is to discuss possible ways to address the issue and whether Machine Learning
would be a good fit.
Please register and submit your question no later than Sept. 2, 2022. Submit your question at the end of the Registration Form. You are welcome to attend the morning session without submitting a question.
