Request for Proposal for State of Alaska capital budget requests - FY26 budget cycle

In preparation for the FY26 State of Alaska budget cycle, UAF leadership is soliciting funding proposals for capital projects, major facility refresh/renovation or research/IT equipment, or state-funded capital research projects from UAF faculty and staff. Capital project requests are typically large-scale, one-time funding items.

It can include large/specialized equipment, research equipment, construction or improvements for modernization, emerging technologies, or other improvements. Before submitting a request, please discuss your ideas with your dean or director. Capital projects or items of this nature must typically be included in the current UAF Master Plan, or be something that would be considered an addition to the UAF Master Plan, upon approval of the UAF Chancellor, UA President and UA Board of Regents. Capital research projects must be vetted through your dean, director, and vice chancellor. Items may include modifications or updates to existing capital plan items.

Deadline for proposal submission is Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024.
