UAF business college sponsors national student-athlete council
The National Junior College Athletic Association has named the College of Business and Security Management and its sport and recreation business program as the presenting sponsor of the NJCAA Student-Athlete Council.
CBSM will be included in the bimonthly council meetings, which feature presentations, guest speakers, and opportunities to discuss issues related to the NJCAA. CBSM will also have an important role in the annual NJCAA Convention.
"The UAF College of Business and Security Management and the sport and recreation business program is extremely excited to partner with the NJCAA," said Peggy Keiper, sport and recreation business program director. "As a former NJCAA coach and student-athlete, I truly believe in the value of two-year college athletics and academics as a platform for students to reach their educational goals. We view the three-year partnership with the NJCAA Student-Athlete Council as a great opportunity to help student-athletes obtain their educational goals and look forward to working with the NJCAA."
