Deven Lisac serves as the student services manager at the Bristol Bay Campus. She helps students at a moment's notice, even after hours or on weekends when necessary.

While this may be indicative of faculty time, staff is only paid when clocked in and Deven goes above and beyond to ensure student success. She facilitates professional input and coordination from other departments and always strives for the betterment of the campus through all of her efforts.

Furthermore, Deven is simply a pleasure to work with and is very personable to meet in the hallway at work or somewhere in the community unexpectedly. Deven is from Dillingham and exhibits a pride and dedication that represents that spirit.

Do you know a staff member from one of UAF’s rural campuses who deserves recognition? Maybe someone who always works hard for their students, their co-workers, their community or UAF as a whole? You can nominate any staff member from a rural campus using this form.

If you have any questions, please contact UAF Staff Council’s Rural Affairs Committee members Tara Borland and Courtney Pagh.
