The Chancellor’s Office is now accepting submissions for the first Chancellor’s Featured Student Artist contest for Fall 2024. All current UAF students are encouraged to submit their artwork.

The Chancellor's Featured Artist contest is an opportunity for UAF students to showcase their art in the Chancellor’s Suite for a semester. The number of artists and pieces selected will vary per semester dependent on submissions received and space constraints. Individual students are limited to three submissions per semester. The selection criteria includes:

  • Size/feasibility of display in Chancellor’s Suite
  • Connection to UAF’s mission and strategic goals
  • Reflection of UAF’s unique location
  • Creativity and originality of piece
  • Representation of UAF’s diverse student body
  • Exploration of themes related to higher education
  • Art submitted by current UAF student

Submissions are open from March 1 to April 1. Selections for the Fall semester will be made by a committee and announced on April 15. Artwork will be displayed Sept. 3 through Dec. 2. Submissions are accepted via the linked submission form.
