The SoBear Festival
The Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability Prevention and Outreach Department in collaboration with Recover Alaska will host its first SoBear Fest from Sept. 19-21. The festival will offer a variety of events for students, staff, faculty and community members:
- SoBear Lounge: Drag Loteria
Sept. 19 | 6-8 p.m. | MBS Hess Recreation
Open to students, staff and faculty (16+)
The first SoBear Lounge of the semester Drag Loteria, featuring our friends from Arciniega Street Productions, is a celebration of both drag and Latinx heritage. - SoBear’s School of Mixology
Sept. 20 | TBD | MBS Hess Recreation
Open to students, staff and faculty (16+)
An instructional seminar on how to create different mocktails that will impress your company from experienced mocktail creators. Learn how to create while still having a healthy relationship with alcohol. - SoBear’s Sip and Savor Soiree
Sept. 21 | 4-8 p.m. | Wood Center Ballroom
Open to UAF affiliates and community members! (18+, unless affiliated with the North Star College Program)
A semi-formal soiree in the theme of an upscale, English garden party featuring music, instructional dancing, and light refreshments (including mocktails). Costumes are admired but not required! Please register on Engage.
