Join us Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, from 2-3 p.m. for "Introduction to TREND Phase 0: Financial Support for SBIR Applications - Live Webinar."

Every year, the Technology Research Education & Development Center of Alaska (TREND) offers the TREND Phase 0 competition that allows participants to submit a preliminary Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I proposal and a request for assistance outlining how they could utilize up to $5,000 in award amount to enhance the proposal’s development.

Learn more about this program during our webinar as we introduce the TREND Phase 0 and answer your questions.

The TREND Phase 0 competition, operated by TREND, is an optional and auxiliary phase designed to give Phase I and Phase II proposals a greater success rate by providing expert reviews and financial support. It is not an official phase of the SBIR or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs and is not a required step; however, SBIR and STTR proposals submitted under the TREND Phase 0 program have a 30% award rate, while the national average is just 15%.
