The University of Alaska Fairbanks is hosting its second Esport & Gaming Summit on Friday, March 25, from 3-8 p.m.

This free event is open to students, faculty, staff and community members, and will offer virtual panel sessions by industry experts and UAF departments.

The event closes with a hybrid community game night — hosted both virtually and in person on the Fairbanks campus.

During the game night, in-person participants can conquer a summit in "The Climb 2" on the Oculus Quest 2, participate in casual gaming and watch the Valorant team in action. Online attendees will have the opportunity to play Jackbox games, which are easy to learn even for first-time players.

The schedule of event and panelist information is as follows.

3-3:50 p.m. — Online Panel 1: Female Representation in Gaming

  • Court "FrozenFlygone" — Games Done Quick/Frame Fatales
  • Jessica Gonzalez — Game Workers Alliance
  • Leonie Leonard — GameHERS

4-4:50 p.m. — Online Panel 2: Current State of Education in Esport

  • Katrina Adkins — SHI International Corp.
