University of Alaska Fairbanks to host rare earth minerals meeting

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host the "Alaska Carbon Ore, Rare Earth and Critical Minerals Input Stakeholder Meeting" Sept. 13-14 at the Troth Yeddha' Campus in Fairbanks. The meeting is open to the public. Registration is required.

UAF is one of 13 institutions chosen for the U.S. Department of Energy's CORE-CM initiative to conduct research on resource extraction, resource processing and manufacturing of high-value, nonfuel, carbon-based products. The stakeholder meeting brings together industry experts, researchers and thought leaders to exchange ideas, deliberate on strategies and chart the course for Alaska's rare earth elements/critical minerals journey

Advance registration is available for $175 through Sept. 12. On-site registration will be $200. The meeting agenda and registration information are available on the conference website.
