The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host the "Alaska Carbon Ore, Rare Earth and Critical Minerals Input Stakeholder Meeting" Sept. 13-14 at the Troth Yeddha' Campus in Fairbanks. The meeting is open to the public. Registration is required.
UAF is one of 13 institutions chosen for the U.S. Department of Energy's CORE-CM initiative to conduct research on resource extraction, resource processing and manufacturing of high-value, nonfuel, carbon-based products. The stakeholder meeting brings together industry experts, researchers and thought leaders to exchange ideas, deliberate on strategies and chart the course for Alaska's rare earth elements/critical minerals journey.
Advance registration is available for $175 through Sept. 12. On-site registration will be $200. The meeting agenda and registration information are available on the conference website.
