Week’s events: Terry Reichardt, aging in place, painting on location, Kinky Slinky

University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here is what’s happening during the week of July 17-23:

  • On Monday, July 17, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series honors Terry Reichardt. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of the Usibelli Building.
  • On Tuesday, July 18, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature Beth Grey, Aging and Disability Resource Center project manager at Fairbanks Senior Center. She will discuss “Aging in Place: A Plan for the Future You in Fairbanks” at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Wednesday, July 19, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Klara Maisch, visual artist, presenting “Painting on Location in Alaska: Landscapes in the Context of Change” at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Thursday, July 20, the Music in the Garden concert series will host Kinky Slinky at 7 p.m. at UAF’s Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
