Week’s events: Whirlwind of allergy, wood burning kilns

Next week the University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning will host the final two of more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events presented this summer.
- On Tuesday, Aug. 15, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature Dr. Anthony Bonitatibus, allergist, speaking on “A Whirlwind of Allergy: From Pollen to Pot Roast” at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
- On Wednesday, Aug. 16, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Jim Brashear, UAF professor of ceramics, discussing “Wood Burning Kilns and the Discovery of Glass.” The presentation is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
