AlaskaX courses are free online courses on the global edX platform. Each is designed and taught by University of Alaska Fairbanks faculty. AlaskaX courses center on issues of importance to the Arctic as well as providing in-demand skills for today’s careers.

AlaskaX Courses

AlaskaX courses are free, massive open online courses (MOOCs) that allow students to study anywhere and at any time. Students can choose to pay a small fee to receive a verified track certificate to document the completion of the course, providing a verifiable credential that is easily shareable to a CV or resume.

Alaska currently features 40 courses and 11 programs. More than 120,000 learners from 210 countries and territories have enrolled in AlaskaX courses.
