BIO
Carolyn Kozak Loeffler is a research professional at ACEP where she explores the history, culture and communication of energy in Alaska. Her work focuses on translating complex energy topics into accessible narratives that inform, engage and inspire. She conducts research using archival materials, oral histories and technical literature to document Alaska’s evolving energy landscape.
Kozak Loeffler also co-leads editorial efforts for ACEP’s blog, From the Grid and supports the development of podcasts, articles and external reports. With a background in informal education and museum curation, she brings a cross-disciplinary approach to energy research and public engagement.
Kozak Loeffler earned a master’s degree in Arctic and northern studies from UAF, with
her research focus on climate change communication, informal education, circumpolar
history, and Arctic policy and governance.
