BIO
Carolyn is the U.S. lead for the Arctic Remote Energy Networks Academy (ARENA) at ACEP, a circumpolar knowledge sharing program designed for individuals living and working in remote Arctic communities on energy integration. She also coordinates ACEP webinars, website planning, and the ACEP blog, From the Grid.
Prior to joining ACEP, Kozak Loeffler worked as a curator and program developer for the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center. She earned a master’s degree in Arctic and northern studies from UAF, with her research focus on climate change communication, informal education, circumpolar history, and Arctic policy and governance.
Outside of work, Kozak Loeffler is an avid cross-country skier, cyclist, backpacker, mountain biker, gardener and chef for her family of four.
