BIO
Emily Richmond is a temporary faculty member and formerly a data science analyst at ACEP.
As a data science analyst, her main project was the Alaska Fuel Cost Study, providing statistical support and data management.
Richmond earned her bachelor’s degree in wildlife conservation from the University of Washington. After many seasons of wildlife fieldwork, accompanied with working her winters at a sled dog kennel in Alaska, she returned to study statistics at UAF for her master’s degree. Her master’s research focused on Poisson point process models of intensity with avian observations on Ladd Army Air Field of Fort Wainwright, AK.
