BIO
Leo Azizi is a research professional, working with ACEP’s Marine Energy team. His work involves hydrokinetic testing fieldwork around Alaska, including operating Tanana River Hydrokinetic Test Site equipment, deploying mooring and operating boats. He also works on maintenance and fabrication of all the marine energy equipment.
Prior to ACEP, Azizi worked at the UAF Property and Central Receiving Office. He has also worked in several different fields such as aviation, logistics, commercial fishing and fabrication.
Azizi has spent years in the wilds and waters of Alaska and is an avid hunter, fisherman and all-around outdoor enthusiast. He currently resides in Fairbanks but has also lived in Kodiak, Ketchikan and Eagle River.
