BIO
Luke Woodhouse is a research professional at ACEP. His work involves project management and engineering for the hydrokinetic research group, including both operations at the Tanana River Hydrokinetic Test Site as well as in remote Alaska communities.
Woodhouse received his B.S. in mechanical engineering with a minor in conservation biology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2024. He moved to Alaska shortly after graduating, hoping to find a career in renewable energy. In Fairbanks, he interned for a summer as a post-graduate researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory prior to joining ACEP.
Outside of work, Woodhouse spends his time exploring the outdoors, whether on a bike, skis or by foot. In the winter months, he is excited to improving his water-coloring and cooking abilities.
