BIO

Patty Eagan is a program assistant, serving on various projects. Her current focus includes project management and coordination for ACEP’s efforts in DOE’s Energy Transition Initiative Partnership Project (ETIPP), advocating for communities’ needs and serving as a liaison to the national lab partners. She also coordinates efforts for the Alaska Microgrid Group, a nonprofit providing access to proven energy expertise. Her previous ACEP work includes the Microgrid Boot Camp and the ACEP Undergraduate Summer Internship program.

Eagan studied business administration at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and UAF. At UAF, she completed a bachelor’s degree in 2018 and a master’s degree in 2019. Before joining ACEP, she was a teaching assistant at the UAF College of Business and Security Management and worked in public relations at the UAF Geophysical Institute.

Eagan was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. Experiences around Alaska grew her desire to learn about the renewable energy scene in the state and led her to ACEP. She enjoys being involved in community events, as well as backpacking, skiing, springtime ice fishing, packrafting and blueberry picking.
