Explore Arctic research on May 16
Join ACEP and other research programs at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for the Arctic Research Open House on Thursday, May 16.
This family friendly open house is packed with fun, interactive activities that will bring you face-to-face with UAF researchers in physical, biological and social sciences.
Test your power at ACEP’s tent with the bicycle generator. Step into a virtual tour of ACEP’s Energy Technology Facility. Learn how UAF’s Teaching Through Technology makes science and engineering really fun.
Grab your all-access backstage pass and journey around West Ridge and jam out with UAF’s research groups. Each stop along the way will explore ways in which UAF research brings value to the Fairbanks economy, improves community well-being and supports the local environment. Enjoy free ice cream at one of the stops, hosted by the UAF Vice Chancellor for Research, to celebrate Fairbanks families and a successful school year.
This annual event, hosted by UAF and the National Weather Service, is free and open to the public. Parking is free for this event.
When: Thursday, May 16, 4-7 p.m.
Where: West Ridge on UAF’s Troth Yeddha' campus
