Seminar on grid-forming inverters in remote Alaska microgrids
Grid-forming, or GFM, inverters in remote Alaska microgrids will be discussed at the
Spring 2025 Seminar Series on GFM Technologies in April.
Mariko Shirazi, the Power Systems Integration program lead at ACEP, and William Thomson of Alaska Village Electric Cooperative will discuss operational experience and recommendations for GFM battery energy storage inverters in remote Alaska microgrids.
What: GFM inverters in remote Alaska microgrids
When: 12-1 p.m. AKDT, Monday, April 21
Where: Register here to join via Zoom.
The series is organized by UNIFI, short for the Universal Interoperability for Grid-Forming Inverters Consortium, and Sandia National Laboratories.
