ACEP participating in the Defense Energy Summit in Austin, Texas

ACEP Director, Gwen Holdmann, Research Manager, Brent Sheets and Affiliate Faculty, George Roe will be traveling to Texas this week to attend the Defense Energy Summit in Austin, Texas. This summits mission is to “Join the Nation's energy, business and defense leadership as they accelerate the development and deployment of new energy and infrastructure solutions for the U.S. military.”

George Roe will be sitting on a panel titled “Energy Storage Solutions-Operations to Installation.” The panel will discuss projects that incorporate energy storage as part of a microgrid, back-up generation, or renewables integration. It will also address the ability and challenges to quantify the energy security and reliability benefits of emission-free energy storage applications in military installations.
