ACEP and Unaatuq Tour Chena Hot Springs Renewable Energy Projects

Two members of ACEP and several Unaatuq, LLC Board members will tour Chena Hot Springs on Wednesday, October 22 to view Chena Hot Springs renewable energy and sustainability projects.

Unaatuq is especially interested in how Chena Hot Springs has developed as they are the land owners of Pilgrim Hot Springs, a site that has had several years of study committed to it by ACEP.

The group will examine Chena’s geothermal generator, green houses, Ice Museum, and other sustainability projects such as their district heating system.  The end goal of the tour is for the Board members to return to Nome with a better understanding of what they could accomplish at Pilgrim Hot Springs with just a little hot water.
