ACEP Researcher travels to British Columbia to Participate in Energy Storage Panel Discussion
George Roe will travel to Victoria, British Columbia, this week to participate in an energy storage panel discussion titled The Energy Storage Frontier: Pacific Northwest Perspectives, Advances and Projections. The event is hosted by Canada’s GreenTech Exchange and is occurring at the University of Victoria on April 24.
George’s presentation will focus on the opportunities for early adopter market implementation of electrical and thermal energy storage technologies provided by the rural microgrids of Alaska, and will highlight energy storage experience in Alaska and identify some possible focus areas for the future.
Other panel members are Jeff Morris (Dir. PNWER, Principal - Energy Horizon Corp.), Peter Wild (UVic Sr. Prof., Mech Eng. Dept., Dir. IESVic, Chair-NSERC-Sustainable Energy Systems), and Russ Weed (VP Business Dev. UniEnergy Technologies).
