ACEP Research Manager Brent Sheets Attends Conference
ACEP Research Manager, Brent Sheets, attended the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) conference in Whistler, British Columbia, July 21-24. PNWER is a public/private non-profit created in 1991 by the states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon and Northwest Territories. The goal of the organization is to promote economic development for the region. Over 500 people attended the conference, and topics ranged from health standards for livestock, to border security, and especially LNG and oil pipelines. Brent presented an update on ACEP’s activities, and in particular spoke about energy storage technology and its potential applications in Alaska. Brent also met two dozen or so legislators and industry representative from throughout the region.
