ACEP Researcher wins 2014 UAF Engineering Innovation Grant

The Institute of Northern Engineering (INE) recently received a generous contribution from Richard W. Nyman, a pioneer in Arctic engineering construction. Using Mr. Nyman's donation, INE was able to fund the 2014 UAF Engineering Innovation Grant. This grant provided up to $10,000 to individuals developing an invention based on UAF technology. UAF INE faculty, staff and students were eligible to apply.

After submitting a proposal for this grant, ACEP’s Marc Mueller-Stoffels was awarded with the sum of $10,000 to pursue product development and commercialization activities related to the BlackBox project.

For more information on the BlackBox project, go to acep.uaf.edu/projects/blackbox-data-collection-system.aspx.
