Gene Therriault, Deputy Director of Energy Policy discussed Alaska Energy Authority’s (AEA)-led projects that will have direct impact on stable and affordable energy for the Interior. Projects such as the Interior Energy Project (bringing natural gas to the Fairbanks and North Pole areas), Susitna-Watana Hydro, and the necessary upgrades to the Alaska Intertie will be part of the discussion. Gene highlighted AEA’s most recent work and the impacts Alaskans can expect to see in the coming years.

The Alaska Energy Authority is a Department within the State of Alaska. AEA’s mission is to reduce the cost of energy in Alaska.
