ACEP Researcher helps Improve Bus Transit in Anchorage

ACEP Research Technician, Brendan Babb, was featured in the Alaska Dispatch News on July 16th for his work on partnering Anchorage’s People Mover transit service with Google to allow users to better plan their travel on the municipality bus system.

The article titled “Anchorage’s People Mover bus routes arrive on Google Maps” described how Brendan had volunteered to work with Anchorage’s IT department to develop the system after he had created a working model for a competition previously with other programmers in 2012.   Because of this work users can now plan their travel around Anchorage with the People Mover routes and destinations integrated into Google Maps allowing the city to become easier to traverse.
