AHERC at Work: Tanana River Test Site Update

This past week preparations continued for the work that will be taking place at AHERC’s Tanana River Test Site this summer.

A pontoon barge currently being assembled at Jon’s Machine Shop in Fox, Alaska will be transported to the Test Site soon and will have an Oceana Energy Company in-river hydrokinetic turbine installed onto it for testing.  This last week, Jack Schmid visited the machine shop to inspect the progress of the barge’s construction.

At this time, monitoring of development at the Tanana River Test Site is continuing as well as scheduling of equipment for deployment.
