ACEP Intern Spotlight: Brita Mjos

There are a number of interns working for ACEP this summer.  To highlight them and their work ACEP will be presenting a short synopsis weekly on each throughout the summer in a series titled the “ACEP Intern Spotlight.”

Brita Mjos

Education: Western Washington University, University of Alaska Anchorage, and currently a student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks

Field of Study: Civil Engineering

Focus of Study with ACEP |District Heating Systems – Through her work this summer Brita is tasked with researching district heating systems around the state that utilize a variety of heat sources.  Her goal is to develop a set of guidelines for ACEP that can explain what makes a district heating system viable.

Post Graduation Aspirations: Brita plans to work for an organization where she can help to develop innovative and practical solutions to environmental challenges.
