ACEP Researcher George Roe Visits Juneau
George Roe participated with members of the Juneau community who are actively studying the prospects for an electric transportation initiative in SE Alaska. Zach Wilkinson from the Juneau Economic Development Council and George co-facilitated a discussion hosted at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center where stakeholders articulated their interests, identified opportunities and challenges, and launched development of an integrated roadmap for implementing multiple modes of electric transportation modes (bus, car, bike, boat) in Juneau. Four sub-groups were generated to develop elements of the vision. Results from their work will be presented at the Innovation Summit, January 28-29, 2015.
