ACEP Researcher Travels to Guam
ACEP’s Dr. Marc Mueller-Stoffels is traveling to Guam November 8th – 12th to meet with University of Guam representatives.
The University of Guam and the University of Alaska Fairbanks have been working closer together in recent times. One example of this collaboration is with the new arctic research vessel Sikuliaq, which is operated by UAF and owned by the National Science Foundation. The ship will be making a stop in Guam after its trip to look at the geologic structure of the Hawaiian Jurassic basin on its way to Alaska where it will be home ported in Seward, Alaska.
Marc will be representing UAF during his visit to Guam University as an expert on energy issues with a specific focus on microgrid integration, a topic important to many island communities.
