Students from the University of Alaska Fairbanks spent their summer at the Idaho National Laboratory assessing the feasibility of nuclear reactor concepts for deployment in northern regions. They will be presenting on POLAR (Passively Operated Lead Arctic Reactor) as an alternative energy source for remote applications and discuss opportunities and barriers to deploying such devices in Alaska.

Presentation is free to attend.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch or snacks to eat while they listen.
