Outreach Team Visits Tanana Middle School

ACEP Outreach Team members Melody Moen and Max Frey paid a visit to Tanana Middle School last week to work with several Extended Learning Program (ELP) classes taught by Danette Peterson.

The focus of the activity, led by Melody and Max, was on wind energy. Each class was challenged to construct a wind turbine as well as to design their own blades. Once each class completed their turbine, it was tested for power output and compared to the turbines from other ELP classes. The team with the highest score won prizes donated by ACEP.
