Oceana Team Visits ACEP

Oceana representative Dan Power and Ned Hansen returned to ACEP May 4-7 to prepare their hydrokinetic turbine for the upcoming testing season. During the off-season, Oceana stored its turbine in Fairbanks where the Oceana team inspected it for wear and to conduct routine maintenance. In July 2015, Oceana Energy will deploy their turbine at ACEP’s Tanana River Test Site for a long-term test of several weeks.  Oceana received a grant from the Alaska Energy Authority through the Emerging Energy Technology Fund to demonstrate its turbine.
