DC&M Manager Visits New England

ACEP's Data Collection and Management program leader Erin Whitney will be in New England this week to give a talk on solar photovoltaic (PV) energy production and prospects in Alaska for the Department of Chemistry at Williams College (Erin's alma mater).  Her presentation will highlight the unique and unexpected opportunities associated with solar PV technology in Alaska and the Arctic, including favorable environmental conditions such as cold temperatures, dry Arctic air, and albedo effects from snow.  Erin will also be touching on integration challenges and parallels for other microgrid environments during her presentation.
