ACEP Director Gwen Holdmann has joined other Alaskans, DOE, and State Department per-sonnel to meet in Nuuk, Greenland this week together with counterparts from across the Arctic region for the Energizing the Arctic: Planning for a Smart, Clean & Green Energy Future work-shop.

This event focuses on the roles that various stakeholders play in developing and managing sus-tainable and reliable energy projects in arctic environments. Issues to be addressed include regu-latory mechanisms to incentivize renewable energy investment, public-private partnerships, com-munity engagement, and the cost and technical trade-offs of various technologies and grid ex-pansion strategies.
