Energy Awareness Month - Forums and Films Scheduled Around the State

Alaska Governor Bill Walker issued a proclamation last week declaring October to be “Alaska Energy Awareness Month.”

ACEP is helping with the promotion and organization of several forums and films around the state to bring attention to energy issues and to discuss Alaska’s alternative energy potential.

The next event in the series to take place in Fairbanks will be the showing of the acclaimed film, “Tomorrow,” at the Blue Loon on Wednesday, October 12th at 5:30pm. Ticket price is $5 (cash at the door) and a panel discussion on the film will follow.

In Anchorage this week, a community forum about solar power in Alaska titled “Does Solar Energy Make Sense in Alaska?” will take place on Thursday, October 13th at 5:30pm at the 49th State Brewing Company.
