Work Begins in Prudhoe Bay for a Beaufort Sea Study

ACEP Research Engineer, Nick Konefal, is traveling to Prudhoe Bay this week to take measurements of the R/V Ukpik in order to fabricate a mount for ACEP's multibeam sonar. The AHERC research team will be deploying oceanographic moorings and carrying out a hydrographic survey, including multibeam sonar measurements of bathymetry, in Foggy Island Bay next summer as part of the BOEM funded "Wave and Hydrodynamic Modeling with the Nearshore Beaufort Sea" study.
