Sandia National Laboratory Sees Future Collaboration with ACEP
Sandia National Laboratories project managers Drs. Abraham Ellis and Olga Lavrova visited with UAF energy researchers last week.
Sandia presented on the current and proposed joint Arctic Energy initiatives under a UAF-Sandia Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA).
Sandia is a leader in national infrastructure resilience, technology development and security analysis; and has had a continuous presence in the high Arctic for the past 20 years operating atmospheric research facilities for the Department of Energy, becoming increasingly active in Arctic issues. The CRADA is intended to facilitate joint research that combines the capabilities of both institutions to address national concerns with regards to emerging security and scientific challenges involving the Arctic.
