ACEP Director Travels to Iceland and Ottawa to Meet with the Minister of Natural Resources Canada

Director Holdmann traveled to Iceland last weekend to speak at the Arctic Circle conference on “Sustainable Arctic Development in the Era of Low Carbon Transitions” and “Energy Security in Remote Communities”. 

Her travel was sponsored by the UK Government, with the goal of seeking opportunities for collaboration between Alaska and the UK (particularly Scotland).

 In addition, Gwen traveled to Ottawa to meet with the Minister of Natural Resources Canada in order to discuss a potential Arctic research partnership led by the University of Saskatchewan.
