ACEP's Power Systems Integration Lab Commissioning New M+ Control System
ABB's Microgrid Application Engineer, Jon Jaeger, is at ACEP's Power Systems Integration
Lab this week to finish the commissioning The key component commissioned is the MGC600E
controller for the energy storage system that is part of the Power Systems Integration
Lab Islanded Microgrid. Enabling this controller, in conjunction with control units
for diesel, wind, PV and feeders, allows for full grid automation from load sharing
between diesel and energy storage, management of renewable resources, ensuring power
quality, and recovering from outages.
