ACEP Supports Pacific Northwest Economic Region Annual Meeting

ACEP Research Professor, George Roe, attended an all-day Energy and Environment panel on July 24 during The Pacific NorthWest Economic Region's (PNWER) 27th Annual Summit.

Roe gave two presentations during the meeting titled Monetizing Carbon Byproducts (opportunities associated with human-made and naturally occurring carbon byproducts) and Remote Energy Solutions in Alaska (aspects of Alaska's microgrid experience base and related regional collaboration opportunities). 

 Alaskais a member of PNWER, and among the other Alaska-affiliated elements at the annual meeting were an Alaska case study included in the PNWER Roadmap to Resilient, Ultra-low Energy Buildings. The Harnessing the Northwest Innovation Power panel was co-facilitated by Alaska State Senator Mia Costello.  The meeting agenda and presentation materials will be available via the meeting website (http://www.pnwer.org/2017summit.html).
